PURPOSE: To eliminate the various kinds of the mechanical wear of a pivot by composing a joint where a pair of thin and long members are cooperatively engaged of a hinge formed integrally with a handle molded on the thin and long member.

CONSTITUTION: For a pair of scissors 10, a first thin and long member 12 and a second thin and long member 14 respectively provided with a tongue part 18 and opposed working end part 16 are formed. Then, first and second handles 20 are molded so as to be respectively provided with a force imparting end part 25 and an opposed tongue-like end part 22 and connected to the corresponding one of the pair of the thin and long members 12 and 14 at the tongue part 18. A hinge member 24 formed integrally with the handle 20 and mutually connected to the handle 20 at the tongue-like end part 22 is formed. Thus, the scissors are manufactured without performing finishing work after assembly and manufacture. Also, the integrally formed hinge 24 eliminates the mechanical wear of the pivot.
