To provide a tool for pulling out sheet metal and method of repairing the sheet metal by which repairing is performed simply and rapidly without eliminating tension after pulling out even when the sheet metal is a kind of a high-tensile strength steel sheet and the works of puttying and cutting are performed simply.
This tool is provided with a manipulating shaft 11, an electrode 21 mounted at the tip of the manipulating shaft 11 and a pressing member 31 arranged on the manipulating shaft 11 apart by a prescribed distance L1 from the electrode 21. The tool is constituted so that the tip 22 part of the electrode 21 is brought into contact with an optional portion (p1) of a concave part (B2) of the sheet metal (B) and temporarily welded to the contacted part (p1) and, in that state, the electrode 21 can be outward pulled and a portion (p2) near the welded part (p1) can be inward pressed with the pressing member 31.
