To provide a tool for rotation, which can positively hold a hexagonal columnar portion of a rotated body, facilitates attachment thereto/detachment therefrom of the hexagonal columnar portion of the rotated body, and can apply sufficient rotating force to the rotated body.
According to the structure of the tool for rotation, a rotated body holding/transmission section 1, which holds the hexagonal columnar portion of the rotated body and applies a rotating force to the same, is formed of: a recessed portion 2 which has an internal cross sectional shape formed like an almost regular triangle with relief portions 2a secured in respective corner portions and has the same shape in a depth direction; and plate springs 3 which are fixed to a bottom porion of the recessed portion 2 and each have a claw 3a formed at a distal end thereof that is located at an opening edge of the recessed portion 2. When the hexagonal columnar portion of the rotated body is inserted into the recessed portion 2, the claws 3a make contact with three side surfaces of the hexagonal columnar portion of the rotated body and move into the relief portions 2a while generating spring force.
