Title:
TOOTH PROFILE OF SCREW ROTOR FOR COMPRESSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2739873
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the cutting conditions of a rotor and to improve sealing performance and durability by specifying a first curve of the follow-up side of a male rotor where four spiral lobes are formed and a first curve of the advance side of a female rotor where five similar lobes are formed, respectively.
SOLUTION: In a screw rotor for a compressor, a male rotor has four spiral lobes 2 and a female rotor has five spiral lobes 12. In this case, in the tooth profile of the male rotor, the inside lines (d1-c1) of the follow-up side tooth profile are formed in such a manner as to satisfy the expression: function f=(x) aX2+bx+c, wherein a constant (c) is '0', (a) is a value for making an angle for determining the size of a circular arc (c2-b2) of the female rotor tooth profile more than 11°, and (b) is a value for making the uppermost rib width 15% or more of the radius of the female rotor addendum circle 56. On the other hand, the tooth form of the female rotor 11 is determined in such a manner that the size of the radius R5 approximates a slippage ratio '0' on the female rotor pitch circle Pf in a circular arc (g2-f2).
