Abstract:
To provide a toothbrush having a structure in which bristle bundles having different thickness of bristles are implanted in separate implantation holes by using a flat line, and having a structure which can materialize suppression of lowered efficiency in the implantation of bristle bundles as well as suppression of falling-out of bristles from the implantation holes.SOLUTION: In the toothbrush of the present invention, bristle bundles composed of a plurality of bristles are implanted in each of a plurality of implantation holes formed in an implantation surface, in a double-folded state using a flat line. The toothbrush is provided with first bristle bundles which are implanted in one side implantation holes and which are composed of a plurality of first bristles, and with second bristle bundles which are implanted in the other side implantation holes and which are composed of a plurality of second bristles. The plurality of second bristles contain a plurality of thicker bristles which are thicker than any arbitrary bristle of the plurality of first bristles. The cross-sectional shape in the cross-section view orthogonal to the extension direction, of each of the plurality of thicker bristles, is any of the convex polygonal shape from a pentagonal shape to an octagonal shape.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
