Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of pitching wear and scoring wear by forming the vicinity of sliding surface of tooth bottom or tip at the meshing start part, of the structure in which the quantity of austenite is less and the hardness is high, and forming the vicinity of pitch circle sliding surface of the structure in which the remaining austenite is larger than the former.
SOLUTION: The structure of the vicinity of sliding surface of tooth tip Ta or tooth bottom Td is formed in which the remaining austenite is 20% or below while the hardness is Vickers hardness HV 700 or above. As the structure of the vicinity of pitch circle Pc sliding surface, the structure is used in which the quantity of austenite is 30% or above. Accordingly, the scoring wear resistance in the vicinity of tooth bottom Td or tip Ta where the meshing with a high sliding ratio is started is improved, thereby widely improving the pitching wear resistance in the vicinity of pitch circle Pc resulting from the rolling fatigue being a main factor.
