Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a toothed pulley which has large rigidity and no eccentricity by using a cup metal plate having one end surface opened, forming projected and recessed tooth portions on the inner and outer surfaces of the peripheral wall, and forming a flange integral with the peripheral edge of the end portion of the open side.

CONSTITUTION: Tooth forms 2 are formed on the inner and outer surfaces of the peripheral wall of a cup metal plate 1, and a flange 4 is formed integral with the peripheral edge of the open end side. As the pulley is thus formed, rigidity is larger and eccentricity due to distorsion will not be produced, as compared with a pulley having no flange. As the flange 4 is integral with the pulley, the number of manufacturing processes is small so as to reduce the cost and remarkably improve the strength, as compared with a pulley having a separate flange. As the tooth form is formed by a die, after-working is not required and as the tooth form is contact-formed in a receive die, the dimensional accuracy is good.
