The top and bottom type roasting machine has a lower heating plate 3 heated by a heater, and the upper heating plate 5 arranged above the lower heating plate 3 and heated by a heater. The upper heating plate 5 is supported by supporting mechanisms 7a and 7b between a first parallel adjacent opposite position to the lower heating plate 3 and a second parallel adjacent opposite position different from the first position so that positions are switched.
