PURPOSE: To facilitate carrying of articles by placing gusset panels inside a carrier and keeping the carrier in a tray-like structure assembled by cooperation between the corner gusset panels and an article held by the carrier in adjacent to the panels.

CONSTITUTION: Side wall panels and end wall panels are raised in an equal direction to a top panel 12 to form a tray-like article, and during such folding, coupled gusset panels at respective corners of a blank are folded toward each other. A locking tab 40 is folded with a crease 42 as the center across a free end of the gusset panel 32, whereby the locking tab is located at an intermediate position between one of faces of the gusset panel 32 and an adjacent face of an end panel 24. When a neck of a bottle B is put in the top gripping article carrier, a shoulder of the bottle comes into contact with a folded structure at a corner, thereby preventing the folded gusset panel from opening suddenly.
