To provide a top plate for a kitchen counter which has excellent design and can be harmonized with other members such as cooking devices and a cabinet, and the kitchen counter.
The top plate 2 for the kitchen counter is disposed at the upper part of the kitchen counter. The top plate 2 is provided with a transparent resin base plate 21 and a design layer 22 formed on its one side face and is configured to be used turning the side of the design layer 22 downwards. It is preferable that the design layer 22 is formed by peeling at least a paint layer from transfer paper having the paint layer on water absorbing paper with a water soluble glue layer, sticking it to the one side face of the resin base plate and drying it. Also, in the kitchen counter, the top plate 2 for the kitchen counter is arranged on a counter body turning the side of its design layer 22 downwards.
