Abstract:

To provide a topclear type precoated steel sheet excellent in weatherability.

A copolymerized acrylic polyol is obtained by copolymerizing a polymerizable monomer component containing one or both of a polymerizable ultraviolet stable monomer and a cycloalkyl group-containing polymerizable monomer and a hydroxyl group-containing polymerizable monomer as essential monomers. This copolymerized acrylic polyol is used as a main component and compounded with an aminoplast resin or a polyisocyanate compound as a crosslinking agent and all of them are dissolved or dispersed in a solvent to prepare a clear paint. This clear paint is applied to the enamel base coating layer of the precoated steel sheet of which the single surface is at least treated with enamel base coat to obtain the topclear type precoated steel sheet.
