An article data receipt part 122 receives document data from an external device. An information quantity calculation part 155 calculates information quantity of the document data. A topic scale value calculation part 142 calculates an accumulated information quantity, which serves as a topic scale value, of a certain inspected document set serving as a set of document data subjected to an investigation from the information quantity of the document to be investigated. A conformity evaluation part 156 calculates a degree of conformity of document content to an evaluation standard, which is defined for evaluating content of the document data, as a conformity evaluation value. A total evaluation value calculation part 144 calculates a degree of conformity as an investigated document set to the evaluation standard as a total evaluation value. A display part 114 visually displays the scale and the trend of a topic in the investigated document set by means of a graphic formed by using the topic scale value and the total evaluation value as parameters.
