The toroidal continuously variable transmission comprises the yokes 113a, 113b for supporting the pivotal shafts of trunnions, respectively, in a freely rocking and axially displaceable manner and the protruded portions 320 provided thereon abutting on members opposed to the yokes and serving as the rocking fulcrum of the yokes. The protruded portions 320 are formed separately from the yokes 113a, 113b and mounted on the yokes 113a, 113b.
