Abstract:
To reduce the sizes of a shaft part of a trunnion and a cylinder in the axial direction while forming a lubrication oil path in the shaft part of the trunnion.SOLUTION: A toroidal continuously variable transmission includes a first piston and a second piston mounted on the shaft part of the trunnion in the state of being externally fitted to the shaft part, and arranged side by side in a tilting axis direction, and a cylinder for forming a first pressure chamber to move the first piston to one side in the tilting axis direction and a second pressure chamber to move the second piston to the other side in the tilting axis direction. In the cylinder, a first lubrication oil path is formed, and in the shaft part of the trunnion, a second lubrication oil path is formed. A third lubrication oil path communicating the first lubrication oil path with the second lubrication oil path is formed between the first piston and the second piston.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
