Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toroidal-type continuously variable transmission which can be downsized by decreasing the number of coned disk springs.SOLUTION: The toroidal-type continuously variable transmission has an input-side disc 2 and an output-side disc 3 for transmitting rotation via a power roller 11. The number of revolutions of the output-side disc 3 is controlled so as to be constant with respect to the input-side disc 2 whose rotational speed is changed. A loading cam type pressurizing device 12 is provided in the output-side disc 3, and presses the output-side disc 3 and the input-side disc 2. The pressurizing device 12 rotates at a constant speed similar to the output-side disc 3, and comprises an oil sump part 44 for generating centrifugal hydraulic pressure to a direction of a pressing force.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
