To provide a toroidal type continuously variable transmission capable of reducing the loading pressure while avoiding any problem of overpushing with the centrifugal hydraulic pressure.
The toroidal type continuously variable transmission includes an input side disk 2 which is coupled with an input shaft 1 receiving the rotational force and rotated integrally with the input shaft, and an output side disk 3 for receiving the rotational force of the input side disk 2 at the predetermined speed change ratio via a power roller 11 provided between the input side disk 2, and is operated with the constant output number of rotation and torque. A hydraulic pressing device 12A for pressing the output side disk 3 in the axial direction is disposed on a back side of the output side disk 3.
