Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toroidal-type continuously variable transmission having a new connecting structure for spline connection, with respect to a connection of a disc of a variater and a rotating shaft.
SOLUTION: In this toroidal-type continuously variable transmission having a fixing mechanism 21 for coaxially fixing a central part of an input disc 5 having a recessed curved orbital face for rolling a roller on its side face, to an input shaft 3, the fixing mechanism 21 is composed of a recessed part 24 formed on a peripheral face of the input shaft 3, a fixing member 25 having a dimension capable of projecting in the radial outer direction of the input shaft 3 in a state of being fitted in the recessed part 24, and an accommodating part 26 formed on the disc side face to accommodate the fixing member 25. The fixing member 25 is formed as a plate material, and has a contact face 31 abutted on the accommodating part 26, on its face in parallel to the axial direction of the input disc 5 in a state of being accommodated in the accommodating part 26, and the torque can be transmitted between the input disc 5 and the input shaft 4.
