Title:
TOROIDAL TYPE NON-STAGE VARIABLE TRANSMISSION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3496417
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the lopsided contact of a tapered roller bearing and the deformation of an output gear.
SOLUTION: This toroidal type non-stage variable transmission has an input disc coupled with an input shaft, an output disc 20 couple with an output gear 26, a power roller held between toroidal grooves formed in the opposite faces of these input and output discs, respectively, and tapered roller bearings 1, 2 to pivotally support the input shaft 14 and the output gear 26, respectively. The outer diameter R3 of a shoulder 20A, where the output disc 20 contacts the output shaft 26 in the axial direction, is set to be not larger than the outer diameter R1 of the most outer periphery of the raceway surface of an inner ring constituting the tapered roller bearing 2 on the output side.
