To reduce the removing work of slag remaining in a torpedo car and to prevent the development of re-phosphorization of molten iron with the remaining slag by providing a gas supplying means for blowing gas, to mainly stir the top slag existing on the molten iron, into the molten iron at an opening hole side for receiving the molten iron from a tilting shaft in the porpedo car.
At the upper part of a torpedo car body 1 having the shape with narrowed both ends of a cylinder, a gas supplying means 8 is arranged on a car wall 7 at an opening hole 4 side from a tilting shaft 6 of the torpedo car provided with the opening hole 4 for charging and the discharging molten iron 2 and also, for inserting an exclusive flux injecting lance 3. As this gas supplying means 8, a metallic pipe, porous plug, etc., may be used to prevent leakage of the molten iron 2 by tilting at the time of charging and discharging the molten iron. By this method, the gas can be blown near to the position of the top slag existing on the molten iron 2 in the torpedo car through the gas supplying means 8 and the fluidity of the top slag 10 so for unavailable in the conventional method car be improved.
