PURPOSE: To improve the control stability by correcting the operation quantity target value of an engine output adjusting means set by a constant-speed running means by the quantity corresponding to the torque aid quantity when a torque aid control means is made operational while the constant-speed running means is in operation.
CONSTITUTION: A means (a) applies the positive or negative torque to an engine, and a means (b) operates the above means (a) for the torque aid during the transient time when the operation state is changed by the output fluctuation of the engine. A means (c) adjusts the output of the engine, and a means (d) controls the operation quantity of the above means (c) to the target value when constant-speed running is specified. A means (e) judges that the above means (b) is made operational while the above means (d) is in operation. The target value of the above means (c) set by the above means (d) is corrected by a means (f) by the torque aid quantity by the above means (b) in response to the judgement by the above means (e).
