Abstract:

PURPOSE: To accurately measure a movement of a web after cutting by arranging a means to increase a torque signal of a receiving roller motor until a slip is caused between a receiving roller and a connecting web at the identification phase measurable torque starting point when the web travels.

CONSTITUTION: A web is sent into a cutting means (a knife) by a receiving roller, and the web is cut in a prescribed length by this cutting means 8. While, a control means 29 is connected to a driving means (a computer) 24 to drive it by prescribed torque output by imparting a driving signal to a motive power means (a motor) 13 to drive this receiving roller in rotation, and torque output of the motive power means 13 is increased by this control means 29 until a slip is caused between the web and the receiving roller at a torque break point, and a value of this torque break point is identified. Next, the torque output of this motive power means 13 is reduced up to the identified torque break point or less, and the slip between this web and the receiving roller is eliminated.
