Abstract:
To provide an improved torque converter, capable of providing greater clutch abilities.
The torque converter 50 is provided with a lockup clutch 58 comprising a piston 56 and a clutch plate 68, and a spring 72. A connector plate 70 is coupled to the clutch plate 68 at a coupling part, and drive-engaged with the spring at a spring engagement part 75. The coupling part to the clutch plate 68 is located radially outward of the spring engagement part.
