Abstract:
To provide a torque converter having simplified and inexpensive construction.
The torque converter comprises a turbine 116, an output shaft 188, and a damper 122, the damper joining at least one cover plate 150 to the turbine 116 in the radial direction. Herein, a flange 186 is provided to be driven by the damper 122, and it is joined to the output shaft 188 in a relatively non-turnable manner. The flange 186 has a face 196 extending to the axial direction for centering the cover plate 150.
