Title:
TORQUE CONVERTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2009014102
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a torque converter capable of miniaturizing the outer race of a one-way clutch.

The torque converter keeps the thrust bearing race 32 of a thrust bearing 3 fixed in an axis direction by a snap ring 5 inserted into a ring insertion space part S formed between the projection part 22 of a stator wheel 2 and the outer race 11 of the one-way clutch 1. The thrust bearing race 32 has a plurality of nail parts 32b projected outside in a radial direction. The projection part 22 has an incision 22b which can insert each nail part 32b into a ring insertion space part S respectively. The outer race 11 is opened at the ring insertion space part S and has an outer race ditch part 11c where each nail part 32b inserted into the ring insertion space part S is inserted respectively. The snap ring fixes 5 keeps each nail part 32b axially by being inserted into the ring insertion space part S.
