Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque converter which can inhibit increase of an axial dimension and the number of components.SOLUTION: A torque converter includes: a pump impeller connected with an input shaft through a converter cover; a turbine runner which is disposed facing the pump impeller and connected with an output shaft; a lock-up clutch directly connecting the input shaft with the output shaft; and a damper gear connecting the output shaft with the lock-up clutch through a damper spring. The lock-up clutch has a clutch drum having a radial extending part. The damper spring is disposed adjacent to the radial extending part in an axial direction. The clutch drum has an engagement part which is bent from the radial extending part and engages with the damper spring in a rotation direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
