Title:
TORQUE CONVERTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3958988
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque converter in which a radial needle bearing to be interposed between an inner cylinder and an input shaft can be prevented from being mutually interfered with a radial needle bearing between the outside end of a stator shaft and the input shaft.
SOLUTION: In the torque converter in which a couple of radial needle bearings 8, 8' freely rotatably supporting both ends of the stator shaft 7 are interposed between the stator shaft 7 and an input shaft 1 passing through the stator shaft 7 and in which a free wheel 23 is interposed between an outer cylinder 19 formed in the outside end of the stator shaft 7 and the inner cylinder 20 relatively rotatably supported by the input shaft 1 and unrotatably supported by a fixed structural body 21, a radial needle bearing 24 neighboring the radial needle bearing 8' at the outer end of the stator shaft 7 and having a larger diameter of a needle roller than the bearing 8' has is interposed between the input shaft 1 and the inner cylinder 20.
