To provide a torque damper capable of avoiding reduction in rotational strength, by dispensing with a cutout for locking a guide sheet in a clutch piston.
A lockup clutch 10 (the torque damper) has a clutch piston 11, a damper spring 12, a connection part 16, a damper holder 15 and the guide sheet 17 interposed between the peripheral edge of the clutch piston 11 and the damper spring 12 and guiding the damper spring 12 while having abrasion resistance, and is provided for transmitting torque inputted to a torque converter cover to a turbine via the clutch piston 11 and the damper spring 12 when the clutch piston 11 exists in a connection position. The guide sheet 17 is locked to the damper holder 15, and is fixed in the peripheral direction of the clutch piston 11.
