Title:
TORQUE DETECTING APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03199936
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To realize a low cost and to improve durability and reliability by using a pair of noncontact type rotary sensors which are arranged at the sides of both ends of axles. CONSTITUTION:Noncontact type rotary sensors 51, 53, 47 and 49 are provided at rear axles 23 and 25 which transmit torques to rear wheels 27 and 29 from a differential device 21 on the side of the device 21 and the sides of the wheels 27 and 29. The sensors 47 - 53 are composed of main bodies 55 of the sensors and tone wheels 57, respectively. The main body 55 is composed of a permanent magnet 63, a coil 65 and an electrode 67, respectively. When the wheel 57 is rotated. The magnetic flux of the coil 65 is changed, and an AC voltage whose period is changed in proportion to the rotating speed is generated. The period is sent to a control unit 39, and the rotating speeds of the axles 23 and 25 are detected. Therefore, when the torsions which are proportional to the transmitted torques are generated in the axles 23 and 25, the unit 39 performs the control based on data which are stored beforehand.
