To provide a torque input shaft for a toroidal continuously variable transmission, wherein a torque input shaft which is cut or processed by the use of a center is inspected stably even after a bushing is press fitted into a stepped structure part of a hole.
A torque input shaft 4 for a toroidal type continuously variable transmission, in the center of which a hole along length direction is provided to be bored and near an end part at one side of which a stepped structure 41 with an inside diameter bigger than inside diameter of the hole is formed, is supported rotatably by a casing of the toroidal continuously variable transmission at both end parts, so as to transmit torque which is input from a motor, wherein a guiding surface 43 for a center is formed at a connecting part 42 between the hole and the stepped structure 41.
