To reduce the weight of a spring type torque limiter which uses a binding force of a coil spring which tightens an inner ring inserted into an outer ring member.
The torque limiter is configured in such a way that the coil spring 3, which has a small diameter section 3a and tightens the outside diameter surface of the inner ring 2 that is rotatably inserted inside the outer ring member 1, is installed in the inner ring 2; that a hook section 3c at one end of the coil spring 3 is connected to the outer ring member 1; and that a hook section 3d at the other end is connected to an adjustment ring 4 rotatably fitted into the outer ring member 1. In this torque limiter, the inner ring 2 is formed by injection molding of polyacetal, which is a thermoplastic resin. Due to the above, the weight of the inner ring itself and that of the whole torque limiter can be reduced compared with a case where a conventional metal inner ring is used.
