In a torque limiter constituted by an inner member 1, an outer member 3 to which one end of the inner member 1 is fitted in capable of relative rotation, a coil spring 2 for generating torque interposed between the inner member 1 and the outer member 3, and a cover 4 for covering between ends of the inner member 1 and the outer member 3, the coil spring 2 is brought into slide contact with the inner diameter face of the outer member 3 with its own elasticity, and the outer member 3 is made of metal so that temperature rise caused by slide contact is suppressed by heat radiation from the outer member 3.
