To provide a torque limiter, which can easily change the set value of torque to the outer ring and is low-priced.

The torque limiter 10 includes a shaft 12, an outer ring 11 loosely fitted on the outer periphery of the shaft 12, and a pressure fit member 13 which is adjustable so as to be set in the state of the pressure fit or the non-pressure fit to the peripheral surface of the shaft, and is adjustable so as to change the degree of the pressure fit in the case of pressure fit. The outer ring 11 is composed of a first outer ring part 11a and a second outer ring part 11b on the shaft 12, and a connecting means 17a for connecting them so as to relatively rotate. The pressure fit member 13 is formed from a plurality of flexible wire members 13a, which are arranged along the peripheral surface of the shaft 12 and between both outer rings, and are engaged with engagement parts 14 formed on the respective outer ring parts 11a, 11b at both ends of the wire members 13a. The pressure fit member 13 is twisted with respect to the central axis 15 of the shaft 12 because of the rotational difference between the first outer ring part 11a and the second outer ring part 11b, and is pressure-fitted to the outer peripheral surface of the shaft 12.
