To provide a correct and reliable torque limiter for surely and stably transmitting torque, preventing breakage, having a simple structure, being easy to maintenance, inexpensive, economical, unlikely to be worn and deformed and excellent in durability, wherein replacement of parts and the like is required infrequently, decrease of initial torque can be inhibited.
An over load protection mechanism with slide plates 15, 55, rolling elements 5, 45 for drive, spring holders 20, 60 and springs 30, 70 is provided for the torque limiter. A crossing angle of a second inclined surface 2b, 51b of pocket parts 2, 51 and an opposite surface of outer circumference surfaces of hubs 1, 40 or a drive plates 10, 50 is set to be larger than a crossing angle of the outer circumference surface of the first inclined surfaces 2a, 51a and the hubs 1, 40 or the opposite surface of the drive plates 10, 50. A crossing angle of the first inclined surfaces 2a, 51a and the second inclined surfaces 2b, 51b is structured to be larger than a crossing angle of the second inclined surfaces 2b, 51b and the opposite surface of the outer circumference surfaces of the hubs 1, 40 or the drive plates 10, 50.
