To provide a torque limiter capable of responding to high-speed rotation.
The torque limiter is equipped with a differential mechanism 20 connected between an outer ring member 2 and an inner ring 3. The differential mechanism 20 is composed of a first bevel gear 31 which is a first rotation element 21, a second bevel gear 32 which is a second rotation element 22, a differential part intermediate bevel gear 33 which is a differential part intermediate gear 23 engaged with these bevel gears, and a differential rotation element 24 composed of a differential part support shaft 37 and a differential part intermediate shaft 38 integrated to be orthogonal to this and provided with the differential part intermediate bevel gear 33 to be rotatable. The first bevel gear 31 is integrated with the outer ring member 2, and the differential part support shaft 37 is integrated with the inner ring 3, which lowers relative rotation speed of the outer ring member 2 and the inner ring 3 and suppresses heat generation due to friction between a coil spring 4 and the inner ring 3.
