Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque limiter capable of more accurately setting a limit torque when an over-load acts.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a torque limiter having a configuration in which a relative rotation in one direction between a shaft member 10 and an outer cylinder 50 is restricted through an engagement of a roller 20 in a wedge space W with a tapered part 40 of the outer cylinder 50, a torque transmittance between the shaft member 10 and the outer cylinder 50 or between the shaft member 10 and the retainer 30 can be carried out, when an overload more than a specified value is applied, a contact surface between the roller 20 and the shaft member is slipped to cause the value of the transmittance torque to be limited to a specified value, and its feature consists in the fact that there is provided a restriction member 70 for limiting an amount of motion of the roller 20 toward a direction where a spacing at the wedge space W is narrow.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
