Abstract:
To improve the durability of a torque limiter in which both rotating bodies integrally rotate via a coil spring when rotation torque acting on the first or second rotating body is smaller than a prescribed value, and when the rotation torque exceeds the prescribed value, either of the first and second rotating bodies relatively rotates with respect to the coil spring.SOLUTION: A difference is set between a maximum stationary friction force between a coil spring and a first external peripheral face, and a maximum stationary friction force between the coil spring and a second external peripheral face so that, when rotation torque to a direction in which the coil spring which is externally fit to the first and second external peripheral faces of coaxially-arranged first and second rotating bodies is applied to the first or second rotating body, the first and second rotating bodies integrally rotate via the coil spring in a state that the rotation torque is smaller than a prescribed value, and when the rotation torque exceeds the prescribed value, either of the first and second rotating bodies and the coil spring relatively rotate with respect to the other of the first and second rotating bodies.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
