Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide stable torque performance by preventing the occurrence of a configurational strain when a twist is exerted on a coil spring.
CONSTITUTION: A soil spring 3' incorporated in an outer ring 1 is provided with small and large diameter parts 3a and 3b, and a hook 4 located to the small diameter part 3a is inserted in a recessed part 6 of the outer ring 1. A hook 7 located to the end part of the large diameter part 3b is inserted in a recessed part 9 of a cover 8 engaged with the outer ring 1, the small diameter part 3a is tightly fitted in an inner ring 10 inserted in the coil spring 3', and torque is transmitted between the inner and outer rings 10 and 1. The average size of the hook 7 located to the large diameter part 3b of the coil spring 3' is set to a value lower than that of the purge part 3b. The the configurational strain in the reduced large diameter part 3b does not occur and stable torque performance is provided in such a way that, when the coil spring 3' is tightly wound to set a torque value, the average size of the large diameter part 3b is made equal to that of the hook 7.
