To provide a torque motor which prevents the detachment of a permanent magnet, without increasing the number of item parts.
A rotor 40 is provided with a rotor core 41 and permanent magnets 47a, 48a arranged on the rotor core 41, The rotor core 41 is made up of a rotor core body 42, a retaining part 43, and connecting parts 44 which connect the rotor body 42 with the retaining part 43. It is formed by laminating thin plates made of a magnetic material integrating each part solidly, in the axial direction. Slits 46 provided on the outside circumference of each permanent magnet 47a, 48a block magnetic flux attempts to flow inside the retaining part 43, thereby causing it to leave the tangent of the rotor core 41 for the radial direction of the rotor core 41. Therefore, a torque applied to the rotor 40 is flattened, because the density of the magnetic flux of the retaining part 43 in the circumferential direction is equalized, irrespective of the thickness of the retaining part 43. Also, the detachment of the permanent magnets 47a, 48a is preventable, without having to increase the number of item parts.
