Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disc brake to be mechanically released by driving torque.
SOLUTION: The disc brake is provided with a brake wheel 12 arranged between a driving shaft 3 and a driven shaft 11 so as not to be circumferentially rotated in relation to the driven shaft 11, friction surfaces 15 so arranged as to be brought into contact with the brake wheel 12, a spring device 14 arranged so as to axially press the brake wheel 12 against the friction surfaces 15 and cam means 19 to 21 for axially separating and floating the brake wheel 12 from the friction surfaces 15 by the torque action of the driving shaft 3. Therefore brake binding between them is released against spring force of the spring device 14, and the driving shaft 3 and the driven shaft 11 are made rotatable in the rotation angle range limited to them.
