To provide a neutral point adjustment method and a device therefor for minimizing displacement of the neutral point of a torque sensor.

After inputting rightward torque into the torque sensor from a torque giving means, the input torque is nulled to measure the then state quantity of a right neutral point. Similarly, after inputting leftward torque thereinto, the input torque is nulled to measure the then state quantity of a left neutral point. The mean value of the state quantities of the right and left neutral points is deemed as the neutral point. Further, as the neutral point adjustment device for the torque sensor, a neutral point calculation means is provided for executing the above neutral point calculation method.
