Abstract:
To allow for reducing the effect of residual stress in a sensor element.SOLUTION: A torque sensor comprises a strain body 1 and sensor elements 2 with strain sensing units 21 attached to the strain body 1. The sensor elements 2 are attached to a surface of the strain body 1 so as to cause surface warps in different directions between a direction along a pair of sides and a direction along a pair of sides perpendicular to the pair of sides. The strain sensing units 21 are arranged along intermediate directions between the two directions on the surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
