Title:
TORQUE SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1151789
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance torque detection accuracy and assembling performance by molding one or more compositional member of a magnetic circuit by diffusing magnetic powder into a synthetic resin basic material. SOLUTION: A first detection ring 21 us fitted over an input shaft 3 and secured by means of a pin 22 and a second detection ring 23 is press fitted over an output shaft 4. First and second coil holders 31, 32 for folding first and second coils 33, 34, respectively, are housed in a housing 2 while being coated with first and second coating members 61, 62. The detection rings 21, 23 and the coil holders 31, 32 are made by injection molding a magnetic material produced by diffusing magnetic powder into a synthetic resin basic material, for example. The coating members 61, 62 employ a synthetic resin tougher than the magnetic material composing the coil holders 31, 32. According to the structure, torque detection accuracy can be enhanced by stabilizing the magnetic characteristics of magnetic circuit and assembling performance can be enhanced while reducing the machining cost.
