Abstract:

To provide a torque transmission mechanism which can keep torque transmission characteristics by preventing deformation of a key itself causing phase shift of a gear when torque within a prescribed range is applied to the torque transmission mechanism, and furthermore prevents damage of a shaft when excessive torque is applied to the torque transmission mechanism, and which is also easily worked.

The torque transmission mechanism comprises: the shaft 100 in which a first key groove 102 is formed along an axal direction; the gear 101 in which a second key groove 104 is formed along the axial direction of a shaft hole 103 into which the shaft 100 is inserted; and the key 105 which engages with the first key groove 102 of the shaft 100 and the second key groove 104 of the gear 101, thereby connecting the shaft 100 to the gear 101 so that torque can be transmitted. The key 105 includes: a through-hole 106 along the axial direction of the shaft hole 103; and a circular portion 107 which breaks when a torque of a predetermined value NTH or more which is smaller than a torque for deforming the shaft 100, is applied between the shaft 100 and the gear 101.
