Title:
TORQUE TRANSMISSION STRUCTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3948850
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide torque transmission structure capable of preventing the transmission of excessive torque.
SOLUTION: This torque transmission structure is provided with a pressing plate 14 to receive the reaction force of a belleville spring 12 on the hole section opening side by inserting a torque transmission ring 11, in which a hub 8 working as an output shaft in the hole section of a cap 3 working as an input shaft is engaged with a play in axially rotatable relation and which abuts on the ring-shaped collar 10 of the hub 8, and the belleville spring 12 pressing this torque transmission ring 11 against the ring-shaped collar 10 into the hub 8. The external peripheral face of the torque transmission ring 11 and the internal peripheral face of the hole section 4 of the cap 3 have a shape allowing them to engage with each other when they are rotated around their respective axes, and inclination faces are formed, which are engaged with both of the abutting faces of the ring-shaped collar 10 and torque transmission ring 11 in their respective peripheral direction. In this constitution, the inclined faces slip with each other when excessive torque is applied, and the whole of the cap 3 runs idle in relation to a hub 8.
