To provide a torque variation absorbing apparatus that further increases the inertia on the engine side than at the damper part in a power transmission path while increasing the torsion angle.
The torque variation absorbing apparatus includes: a center plate 23 that is adapted to be rotatably and coaxially arranged with respect to a drive plate 10 rotating integrally with a crankshaft 2; side plates 17, 18 that are rotatably and coaxially arranged with respect to the center plate 23; elastic members 34 that absorb torque variations occurring between the side plates 17, 18 and the center plate 23; and a block member 14 that is adapted to be engaged with the drive plate 10 by an engaging member 16 and is attached to the side plate 17. The side plates 17, 18 include a plurality of accommodation parts 17a, 18a accommodating the elastic members 34 therein. The block member 14 is attached to a part between the accommodation parts 17a circumferentially adjacent to each other in the side plate 17.
