To prevent the change of the fastening torque adjusted during the working, by mounting an adjustment operation part of a torque adjusting mechanism to one end of a handle at a side far from a mounting part, and demountably mounting a cover for covering the adjustment operating part.
A mounting part 2 having a mounting hole 2a to be engaged with a fastening member is rotatably mounted on a head part 3 in a torque wrench 1, a handle 4 extending toward the outer peripheral direction of the mounting hole 2a is connected to the head part 3, and a torque idling mechanism engaged for idling when the torque over a set fastening torque is added, is mounted on the mounting part 2. Further a torque adjusting mechanism for changing the fastening torque is mounted at the handle 4 side, the fastening member is engaged with the mounting hole 2a, and the handle 4 is rotated to execute the fastening with the torque not over the set fastening torque. The torque wrench 1 is provided with an adjustment operation part of the torque adjustment mechanism on one end of the handle 4 at a side far from the mounting part 2, and a cover 8 for covering the adjustment operating part is demountably mounted.
