Abstract:
To increase the mounting strength of a trailing arm 1 while optimizing roll stiffness.SOLUTION: A torsion beam 2 has a closed cross section structure. A beam central portion 21 is formed to have a substantially inverted V-shaped cross section or substantially V-shaped cross section. On both sides of the beam central portion 21, there is provided a circumferential length increasing portion 22 where the length increases as the circumference becomes closer to the beam end. In the circumferential length increasing portion 22, the beam front-rear width which is the width in the vehicle body longitudinal direction gradually increases toward the beam end, and the gradual increase rate of the beam front-rear width increases as it approaches the beam end.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
