Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of an elastic body 13 caused by heat load and swelling to maintain a vibration reduction function over a long time in a torsional damper 1 disposed below an engine in an outboard motor.SOLUTION: A torsional damper 1 is disposed below an engine having a driving shaft 201 vertically extending and has a structure where an inner peripheral member 11 attached to the driving shaft 201 and an annular mass body 12 concentrically arranged at the outer peripheral side of the inner peripheral member 11 are connected through an elastic body 13 made of a rubber-like elastic material. In the torsional damper 1, a disc-shaped plate 14 is attached to an upper side of the inner peripheral member 11. The plate 14 does not contact with the elastic body 13 and the annular mass body 12 and is formed so as to have a diameter larger than that of the elastic body 13. Fins 14b which generate upward airflow by rotation are provided at an outer diameter part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
