PURPOSE: To prevent the hysteresis torque of a torsional damper from growing larger by dint of friction force to be produced by which an equalizer between two torsion springs set up in a circumferential tandem rubs with other parts of the torsional damper.
CONSTITUTION: While transmitting power to a torque converter 8 from an engine output shaft 2 via a torsional damper, an equalizer 11 between two torsion springs 9 and 10, through a component force from these springs, is pressed by force (f) to a side plate 5 in an annular inner circumferential part 11a, and in this pressure-contact state, the annular inner circumferential part 11a and the side plate 5 are rubbed with each other. However, a low friction plate 12 in this rubbing part reduces the extent of frictional force between this innercircumferential part 11a and the side plate 5, whereby hysteresis torque in the torsional damper is prevented from gowing larger.
