Abstract:

To provide a torsional vibration damping device that can suppress or prevent the deterioration of damping performance of a damper mechanism 16 by a centrifugal force increased as a rotation speed increases.

The torsional vibration damping device includes: an input member where power is transmitted from a power source; a driving member 17 that is integrally coupled with the input member; a driven member 18 where the power of the driving member 17 is transmitted, that inputs the power into a fluid transmission device and is formed to be relatively rotatable with respect to the driving member; and an elastic body 19 that is housed in a housing unit 20 that is formed in at least one of the driving member 17 and the driven member 18 so that an elastic force acts on in a direction where the power transmitted from the driving member to the driven member acts. In the torsional vibration damping device, a radius of the elastic body 19 has a larger portion and a smaller portion in a direction where the elastic body 19 shrinks and expands.
